Dear Lucy last Saturday my local greengrocer had hyacinths or sale and I thought no I would hang on and buy at beginning of December. After seeing yours
I'll be out first thing tomorrow to purchase
some!! Need cheering up keep getting soaking wet. Weather is dictating staying
indoors cooking and crocheting. Looking forward to seeing your new project idea.
You must have a look at a book called
super cute crochet by Nicki Trench. It has some crochet fish in it(might be fun
to add to your bathroom!)
Have a cosy weekend.
Best wishes Sarah west mids.

Oh Lucy!

You have given me a wonderful, big smile!

Thanks so VERY much!

What lovely photos. I really love hyacinths and have never tried to grow them indoors.

I must give it a go when they come in season here in New Zealand. It is late spring now here, only a few weeks before Summer officially starts.

Enjoy the scent!

Michelle

i could sniff hyacinths all day long! the blue ones are my favorite color!

Silke

I really love your daily posts... they make my days so colourful. Greetings from Germany :-)))

Debbie Price

Love all of it!! The hyacinths are going to be lovely, the globes are gorgeous in the window, the colors of yarn are yummy and is that a new pic of you? Have a glorious weekend on your side of the pond!

Hello Lucy! How wonderful to have a peek into your rainbow world again - it's been a while! Looks like you are doing well, pleased to see it. Would be lovely to catch up some time soon, been wondering where you'd gone! love Patricia (the Dutch one!)

How wonderful are your glass ball ! I don't know the english word for them. In France we call them "sulfure".
So beautiful ....

Happy Friday!

Visiting Attic24 is one of the heart-skippy-happy parts of my day! Thanks for the sunshine on a dreary day. The new pic of you looks terrific! xxoo

Veronica

Love your glass ornaments! They are so beautiful. Your newest crochet project is beautiful as well.

Lucy
I know you'll not find all the colours you like, but have you ever tried the Twilleys Freedom Sincere?? it's a DK, all organic cotton, it costs a lot less than Rowan (2.2 on ebay, 2.95 in John Lewis), and it's a LUUUUV to work with that...a lot softer, feels like a cloud, you can mix and match with Rowan (I did an hexagon blanket for our Poang chair, you know the ikea curved-timber-boing-boing-chairs?)

Riikka, Finland

Hi Lucy!! I just found your blog and I immediately fell in love with it!!! <3 Beautiful colours!!!

Christine Warren

Is your WIP for your bathroom window? ;)

Heather

oooooh is this your new satchel-bag WIP? how exciting!

Anna-Karin, Sweden

See you changed your picture up in the left corner. You really look so calm and satisfied with your life in that photo. Love that!! And with your new blankie!
Oh, and I love the hyacinths, they smell so gorgeous!!
And, as usual, your yarn looks yummie!
Have a great weekend Lucy!!!

JeaLous.... I love you beautiful fresh new plant and it looks superb in your blue and white striped bowl. Can't wait to see it in full bloom.

Wow, another fun stash of yarn. Once again, some great colors. Does the yarn shop come to you now? If not, they should. But, that would only happen in HObbiT land. Amazing that you have another goodie up your sleeve. Just don't know where you are finding the time.

Love your new picture on the blog. It's the best yet. You are looking great. Now if I could just see TGB on the blogs I love....ROFL-ROFL...he-he... chuckle-chuckle... laugh-laugh.. crazy-crazy.. silly girl-silly girl...pesterieee-pesterieee.... The strange goals we set ourselves up for. Only when you are ready....

Have a great, great weekend and don't work to hard on the new adventure. Ok, work hard so we can see some of the WIP on Monday.

HuGs and HOoks,
Kate

Hello there!

I like your new photo, you look blooming! Little budding hyacinths are most necessary at this time of year, I am still trying to decide if to have pink or blue this year - a heck, why not both!! I always enjoy seeing your crochet work, it seems to lift the day no matter how dreary the weather!

Cant wait to see the new WIP unfolding!

Love Julia x

Jennifer

I love the hyacinths, especially in that bowl. I recently found two blue and white striped jugs from Staffordshire England all the way over here in an antique/thrift store here in Wyoming. I snapped them up immediately and love them. Your paperweights are beautiful, I could stare at them for quite a while, especially the way the light hits them, and your new WIP, I wonder what it is. I do love the stripes and such beautiful colours. Have a great day Lucy!

Nicky Hale

Mmm, hyacinths love, love, love! Paperweights are gorgeous, bet they look spectacular with the sun bouncing off them. I can't use the metal crochet hooks jar my hands, so use good old clover soft touch, they are metal with nice soft warmness to hold.

ayse Yetis

Hi Lucy,
I have a stack of Rowan 4-ply Cotton, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to use them ever.
I feel weird asking but would you want me to send them to you?
my email is: ayseyetisbayraktar@gmail.com

Petit Filoux

more lush yarn already?? honestly, can i be you for one day?! :-) x

Kimbles

Must buy some hyacinths - yours look lovely - cant wait to see what the new WIP is x

Pom Pom

Wow! Your color bag is delicious looking! You have the gift of color - you really do!
