About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Another lovely colourful post as always - thanks for that. I wouldn't worry too much about the ric rac brain - it's nature's way of ensuring you don't do too much just now so best to just go with the flow if you can. You are being more than creative enough just now aren't you with little one in there taking what he/she needs and leaving you with not enough brain power to do what you want!

How did you do that fab creative hooky rose/flower? It's gorgeous.

Take care - relax and enjoy your weekend.

Love

Jane

I wouldn't mind some hooky bits, walking to school bits, Friday market bits of my own today. Thank you for the inspiration.

Hi Lucy, Hope all gets better soon.

Could you tell me what the village/town Friday Market is located in?

I am coming to York in November and would love to go to some markets like this.

Thanks for the information.

For once, we got as much sunshine here than in your pictures ;-) take care

Hiya Lucy, your pictures speak volumes and I love the sunrise one.

I'm still out of sorts today so I will try not to over complicate my message as the head cold is making my brain do and say funny things today like re washing the clean washing from yesterday doh!

Hope you manage to detangle yourself soon.

take care and have a lovely weekend,

Nina x

Oh, my . . . that sky!! What a beautiful, changing canvas you have outside your Attic 24 window every day!! Thanks for sharing the best of it with us : )!

Hi Lucy, am in a similar tangly frame of mind. In my case, so many knitting projects with much promised for Christmas and it isn't that far away. It's like a wall I'm lurching towards at great speed with no brakes and I haven't gone into overdrive yet - that comes later! Have you tried making a list of everything whirling about inside your head? When I do that, it usually frees up space to think sensible thoughts. Take care X

Sarah Jane

Thanks for the gorgeous photos - they certainly cheered me up! :) Wishing you (and all who read this) a stunning weekend!

Relax, Lucy, it's just one of those days :)
I wanted to say a huge thank you for that super scrummy yumptious chocolate chip cookie recipe you posted ages back. It has been baked twice this week, and my girls (& their schoolfriends)LOVE them SO MUCH because they are the BEST! More perfect still, they are egg-free & my little girly loves you for it :)[We substituted chocolate orange chunks once - v. recommended!] So thank you x

Louise

Lovely colourful photos today! Adoreable creative hooky bit :-) Hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend with time to organize your thoughts.

Jill

Hope your tangle gets worked out soon. That feeling is sooooo unsettling. There are probably some amazing projects in there just waiting to get out! Lucky us when they do. Jill

lucy

Happy weekend, hope you get a little straight in that colourful head of yours x

Kar

Don't feel bad Luce. Everyone gets in those tangled little messes at times and feels a little wonky. Just relax for the weekend and don't take things too seriously and all should be fine. I'm crossing my fingers! Love the creative hooky bit!

Have fun dear and hope you and Teeny Person are doing well! :)
