Well done Lucy, you deserved to win.
I was at the beach today and had to walk past the yarn shop on the way home, I so wanted to go in and buy lots of rainbow coloured yarn, but my kids wouldn't let me!!! They know a yarn shop visit takes a long time for me as I have to stroke and fondle all the balls as I choose. Maybe next week xx

I look forward to the scarf, and hopefully I can learn some matching mittens.. they are a must here in alberta :) Congrats on winning.

ahhh HOT BEADS! I used to use those all the time when I was a kid, great fun. Have you tried stringing them on shirring elastic to make bracelets? (without melting them I mean!)
xxxxxxxx <3

I love the colors you're using! Such a lovely picthure.
Hope you're feeling better (more energetic :D)

Your crochet is such a work of art! I never get tired of seeing pictures of it. I am trying to teach myself how to crochet. Mine does not look anything like your beautiful things, but I am keeping on with it. I just love all your colors. Wonderful! Like a nice sweet treat. Thank you so much for sharing.

Well done Lovely Rainbow Lucy - for winnning the blog and your BB!
Love Jane x

Congratulations Lucy! You so deserved to win. I can't even tell you how much your blog inspires me - you've taught me to crochet, which I now love to pieces.... maybe even more than knitting!! (shhh though, don't tell the pointy sticks!)

You've also inspired me to brighten up my dingy little yard with flowers, which even right now give me enormous pleasure as I sit and look at them out of my window, and tomorrow you will teach me how to make tiffin! I do so enjoy seeing your new posts pop up, and I frequently potter back through old posts to look at the pictures. Definitely a most deserved winner :)

I think you might well win August too.... you may have to do a dorset cereal giveaway! lol ;D

well done

Congrats Lucy!!!!

Well done! I had a feeling you'd win as you had loads more votes than anyone else nominated. But you really deserve it, you are obviously touching the hearts and minds of many people out there in blogland, myself included. Hope you feel rosy again soon.x

I was led to your blog yesterday by TwistedKnitter and I was mesmerized to your blog all day...went through every page. It made me feel so happy..all the beautiful colors and helpful instructions. Your BB is beautiful...I read that you got 33 skeins of yarn, but does that include the border? Looks to me like you would need more of one color to make such a nice border...I am going to my local yarn store today to get wonderful yarn to make your bag...hopefully will find a great substitute for DB's Merino aran!! Many, many thanks for your informative, beautiful blog.

Wow all those comments! I do love that blanket, can't wait to see whats next.

First time I comment on your blog. Have been following it for some time and just wanted to say that you gave back my love for crochet. Just did my 222 hexagon. Congrats on the award, you deserve it!

hurrah! so glad you won, well deserved award & good timing for BBs completion eh! 170+ comments may seem a lot but think how many others will have seen BB's unveiling & not commented but still be bowled over by your scrumptious creation.... Natalie xxx
