About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

I must try shopping for colourful items - yours looks fantastic!
Blanket looks lovely - be proud of it!

Heidi

I love it. the squares are very happy to be together in their respective groups (it's like a quiet giggling). It so fresh and spring and easy on the eyes with the double borders and then the white. excellent.

Louise

I like it! Looks great.
I'm going to try your hexagon pattern soon. Thank you so much for the tutorial for that!

Sally

I'm loving it Lucy, it's great! Sally x.

Very beautiful blanket ! Do you really hesitate about liking it, or not ? Maybe it is because of the unusual white edging of the blocks : dark purple, or black could give it another interest for the eye. But the white edging is restful, peaceful, I feel (excuse my hesitating english, I am not used to practising because I am french)
Have a nice time crocheting and shopping... All the colours of your blog are joyfull and energetic. Good bye and best regards.

Sharon

Lucy, what a fun day! Your crochet is beautiful. I know I like it.

Esther

I think it's lovely, really like the contrast of colours and the purples.

periwinkle

totally off track from your gorgeous pics , but how big a chain did you do for your ripple cushion pls?

Rachel

Oh gosh I absolutely love it - So calming somehow with all those blues and definately FRESH!! xx

The granny blanket looks lovely! I need to do the exact same thing with my 64 squares and begin attaching. I've been meaning to do so for days, but am feeling that it will not be as much fun as making the squares. This is my first granny afghan and am feeling overwhelmed a bit. Each square has a different colored flower in the center, so it seems I will have alot of coordinating to do. Must get to it as I want to move on to other projects this spring. Thanks for the inspiration.

Isn't retail therapy, like, THE BEST? It's highly unfortunate that I'm without funds at the moment. I did a little TOO MUCH retail therapy, buying myself new living room furniture and a brank new washer and dryer yesterday! But I love your purchases. I'm so jealous you get to take the train in places!

Nina - Tabiboo

Retail therapy comes right up there at the top of my list - chocolate being a second contender! You are so lucky to go off on a jolly.

take care,

Nina x

ps. the blanket looks gorgeous!

Debra George

I love the blanket! I wonder if you're not sure about it because you've used white as your edging/joining colour and not your usual full-on, in-your-face bright colour?

The Antidote

I think I like it too. I am about to embark on my first granny square throw, and I love how you have blocked those squares.
I went with my mum to her local Tesco's on Saturday, "where's the seasonal aisle?" I demanded - she didn't know what I was talking about!!
