Hi, Lucy! Welcome back! Missed your blog so much, looking forward for your photos!

I'm pleased you have had a great week and feel really refreshed. It is good to recharge the batteries. Keep sharing and I'll see it all when I come back from recharging mine!!

I found your blog a few days ago and I love your crochet work. The coulurs are fabulous. You mentioned going up to the atic is your studio in the attic? I think the sea glass is very pretty.

Hi Lucy. Welcome Home and hope you had a fantastic break. Don't know if you remember me, but I posted you around the end of March to say I'd been told about your blog by a good friend of mine, and was back-tracking over all the old-stuff so I could catch up. You told me not to "burn out". Well, I didn't & I'm here and up-to-date. WOW! It was enjoyable to get to know you through your blog. I think I've found a kindred spirit. So many things you have written about strike a chord. I have 2 Little Men aged 6 & almost 3 and they keep me very busy. Like you I'm a stay-at-home Mum with a creative, crafty side. My main thing used to be knitting, then it was card making, back to knitting and now crocheting. You are an inspiration. Thank you. I'm a bit of the reverse of you as I used to live in a land-locked county, but now live a lot closer to the coast. I've moved around most of my life (dad in Army), but s'pose Nottingham is my original home and you can't get more land-locked than that. I now live in the Garden of England - Kent - and I can get to the coast within 20/30 mins - aren't you jealous? I also feel an affinity with the sea and love the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. Like you I also have a pair of walking shoes (Columbia) which I live in from Sept/October until the spring, then it's into my Birkenstocks for the remainder of the year (weather permitting). Today in my bit of Kent it is a lovely, warm, sunny day and the second load of washing is on the line. Anyway, enough gassing for now - just enough time for another brew before the school run. Hope this finds you well and look forward to hearing what's happening "up north" on your blog. Take care. Love Sam x

Hi Lucy
Just wanted to say how lovely and inspirational your blog (ugly word for such an unugly thing!) is. Your words and pictures have inspired me to learn to crochet - can you recommend any basic books? Look forward to your next installment of colourful, wonderfulness.

Welcome back Lucy, so uplifting to read your posts; loving the orange tulips against the pale blue of your little bottles and the simple sea glass is just lovely. As per other comments looking forward to your seaside photos and posts!.
A big 'welcome back' hug to you Lucy!

p.s. I'm working through my own summer garden granny squares (using your tutorial) although in the Southern hemisphere we are heading into winter!

I love the seagulls too. We live a couple of blocks back from the sea and the noise doesn't bother me, but then I have five cockatiels inside that make so much noise I often step into the pantry to make a call.

hello lucy, nice to hear that familiar excited voice again. :) looking forward to see those beautiful holiday pictures. Its my turn tmrw for a short vacation with hubby. I'm excited and looking forward to get started a new crochet project on this vacation. Hmm...myabe the ripples? :) I've had great fun crocheting a hat last week. Posted a pict on my blog, feel free to have a look.

Oh Lucy is really is good to hear from you again! You have been missed over here in New Zealand. How wonderful to miss someone we haven't even met. You brighten up each morning for me and give so much inspiration to all of us. I too have a blog now, many thanks to you! What fun it is to share with the world what I have been up to. Keep crocheting and crafting, we love it! Thanks.

Dear Lucy. Welcome home. I always love spending time at the beach and when I do i wonder why I don't get their more often - but I think life just gets in the way. I do like coming home again and settling into my little house. Looking forward to meeting with you on your blog again soon.

Welcome home, Lucy.
*sigh* I'm sure I was meant to live on the coast, but somehow I ended up here in Australia's oldest inland settlement, what the...?!?!?

Glad you're back ... missed your updates sooo much!
I found another crochet blog whilst you were away ... reminded me of the Attic ... check this out:: http://crochetroo.blogspot.com/

Hi Lucy-
Although this is my first time to comment here, I have enjoyed following your blog (which I found through ravelry). I loved your post on your yarn, because the same day you put up those pictures I got a big stash of Debbie Bliss (50% off too!) in the mail. Anyways, while you were gone I used your ripple pattern and made a blanket out of it! Thanks for the inspiration!
p.s. my name should link to a picture of the blanket!

Glad you're back Lucy, I missed you! My granny squares are increasing (slowly!!) and it's my blogiversary today - 1st year! There's a giveaway so pop in if you have a mo, you'd be very welcome! Welcome back! Love Salx

Hiya, missed you while you were away, glad you had a good time! Look forward to your photos. I CAN NOW CROCHET RIPPLES! Really chuffed, thanks for your pattern. Making a rainbow coloured blanket. Got up early today, sat in the garden with a cuppa and did a bit of hooking. Perfect start to the day.
Love, sunshine and rainbows
