Hoping you're all enjoying a fabulous Easter weekend?
All is hunkydory here.
We are in full-on Holiday Mode and it feels wonderful.
Busy getting things together today, making preparations.....activities and treats are being gathered for the Little People, and supplies to make an Easter Egg hunt happen tomorrow....
....my own weekend essentials are also being gathered together...making a dash over to my fabulous Wool Shop later this morning to purchase yarn colours that I've run short of.
After lunch we will be packing the car up and preparing to drive the 300 miles south to the Dorset Coast. We're spending the next week with my folks in Bridport, and I am sooooooooo excited! Its been eight months since we were last there and recently I've been feeling quite homesick for the place, missing it a great deal.
I am looking forward to sea breezes, jaunty harbours, green clifftops, bustling towns, quiet lanes, picnics, pottering, browsing, meandering, lazing, chatting, hooking, reading, laughing, walking. With my family.
I shall miss my Attic while I'm away and I shall miss chatting to you too.
While I'm gone, if you'd like to re-read a little of my previous
Dorset holidays, by all means feel free to potter in the Attic24

Have a fabulous week and I'll see you all when I get back

Hi Lucy. Just wanted to say a big 'thank you' for the great tutorials. I had managed to work out the ripple technique just before you posted your tutorial on it, but thanks to you I can now make a crocheted flower and a granny square! I therefore have 3 WIP - a large ripple blanket for my bed, a matching granny square flower garden cushion and flowers that seem to be attaching themselves to bags, hangers and anything else that might be around! Thanks again Lucy, you have inspired me to pick up my hook again. Sally.

Waiting a lot that your holiday would already end:-) Greetings from Finland!

Lucy, I adore your blog. It just makes me smile. I love all things British (being American of British descent somewhere long ago) Your lovely Brit phrases and your wonderful stories make me wish I lived near you to play with you! I attempt to crochet, knit, do wheel pottery, scrapbook, watercolour and any other craft I see. Perhaps I am trying to find my inner/outer self. Currently I'm doing watercolour. It takes me away from any worries or struggles of the day. My very best to you! If you are ever in the States and near Cleveland, OH you have a B & B at my house! Gretchen C.

Lucy,
your blog is my absolute favorite. I love to see all your crochet stuff. I learned to crochet from your tutorial on granny squares after trying to learn how for 3 months and not being able to. I appreciate it so much. So I hope you continue to share what you are making with us. Thanks again!!!

Wishing you great weather during your trip.
I'm making your Crochet Bag, still learning, but following your clear directions and your colorful projects is like making smiles. Thank you for sharing.

I need to say a big big thank you to you! Your crochet patterns are certainly highly recommended by other bloggers, but I never dreamt that someone like me who only just knew how to do the chain stitch could ever follow a pattern and I have. Your ripple pattern is so easy to follow it took me less than 30 minutes to get the hang of it. I'm sure what I'm doing isn't perfect but it would probably only take someone to give me a couple of extra pointers now and I'd be on my way!!! :-)

I hope you had a fab weekend, I didn't see you in Bridport, mind you we flew through on our way from Seatown to West bay so unless you'd stood in front of the pub with the Elvis night waving a crochet blanket over your head I probably wouldn't have spotted you! lol

Have a wonderful time, Lucy. Dorset is one of our fave hols destinations too, and Bridport! Wonderful. A little secret - if you go to the village of Netherbury, take a walk up the wooded track just before you enter the village, walk about a mile or so and on the right you'll stumble on a rather famous little cottage. You might know it already! We've stayed at Star cottage in Netherbury twice and I was THRILLED to find this little house whilst out on a walk. The sign is no longer on the gate but I was still giddy when we found it. Emma x
