Hello!

About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

those are very fab reasons for it being a lovely day!...dont you just love the morning sunshine on the way to school - that means spring is coming - ooooh!!! x

Janette

my goodness your view this morning is soooo different from the one on our side of the pennines - I put a picture on my site today as it was so foggy. Your house looks like spring is well and truely on it's way and I'm loving the shiny taps.

Hi Lucy
I am so glad I found your blog. Your photos today are so beautiful and colorful.
I'm glad some of my blog friends visited you. I've met some of the nicest people (like you!) through blogging.
Hugs, Rhondi

What a lovely little window to your world.

Loving each and every one of your posts, though I don't comment often. Thank you for this, it's very cold here and your photos help me think of warm!

Michelle

mandy

glad you had such a bright cheery day, the pictures were beautiful as usual, but can I see the little birdies that you are making please ?

michelle

your day north from here was so much nicer than our horrible wet dull grey depressing day,
thanks for bringing some sunshine to my day

fleur

Oh yes! I like very much your pictures and what you say, with so much light, I wonder how you do. I think we have the same scissors for children :-)

Just reading your blog makes my day. Thanks so much for the lovely pics. I can hardly wait for your new blanket!

Hi Lucy! Love all your pics. Especially the ones about what you get to see every morning walking to and from school. LOVE IT!!!! Simple things are the best, aren't they. To see the pic from your bathroom made me giddy for you. I take it that the project is going well because the chrome and porcelain is looking FAB! Thanks for brightening my day again! Finished with the blankie!! Here I come hexagon blankie!! :)

Thank you for sharing all those lovely pictures today. Much needed as it has been so gloomy down here in Oxfordshire it was starting to make me feel a little blue. It's been so dark I've had lamps on all day. Rubbish for taking pictures of all the loveliness I was sewing last night. Rubbish for inspiring me to make anything new today. So it's nice to share all your sunshine and lovely pictures as always. Thanks for your message re the Wedding by the way. Yes, only five and a bit weeks now. SO excited!

A Thrifty Mrs

Thank you for sharing your beautiful, bright photography. It's really cheered along my day.
Looking forward to hearing more about the teatowel quilt.

Oh...so lovely, the beauty in small things. Reminds me to appreciate more instead of gripe so much! Lovely post x

Hi Lucy...I see you peeking out of your shiny chrome faucets. Seeing you is making me giggle and believe me I could use a few of those today. Thank you for always, always, always brightening my day and helping me to open my eyes to the sweet simple pleasures of home. Seeing your sweet tulips earlier this morning made me remember my tulips from a couple of weeks ago. I adore you, dear Lucy....for making my life a little better each day.

simone

That is a lovely day. Did you see Ken Barlow down by the canal by any chance?!!! I love the shiny chrome taps. Does that mean the builders have finished?!!!

Lucy Locket-Pocket

Your day looks so much prettier than mine with it's broken loo flush handle, broken tumble dryer, chaotic mess of a house, late rush to school with Fred not wearing a proper school t-shirt, home to more mess then off to work!

One pretty thing - my new blue spotty tablecloth with a pot of tete-a-tete in a stripy crochet vase! Thank you Lucy!!!
