Morning! I am in recovery. Yesterday's trip to London was Exhausting, Exciting, Exhilerating, Energising. And did I mention Exhausting?? I was dead on my feet when I finally dropped in through my front door last night at 9.20pm. And as I went out the door at 6.25am, it's what you would call a Long Day. This morning I am drinking coffee and getting ready for a trip to the park in the fresh November sunshine. Followed by someone else cooking me lunch, a spot of crochet and a glossy magazine on the sofa. Nothing more strenuous than that.
You know you've had a good shopping trip when you come home swinging several weighty bags. Not just your average plastic carrier bags, but stiffy cardboard bags with corded handles. And when you are too afraid to look at the receipts and work out how much money was spent.
I had such a wonderful time. I totally indulged my personal passions :: mugs, teatowels, napkins, buttons, ribbon, christmas decorations, wool, fabric, pretty things. Liberty and Greengate. Rowan and Kaffe Fassett. Scrumptiousness all round.
Wanna see what I got?
Stop by tomorrow and I'll unpack my bags for you to see.

I am french but I used to read Country Living (GB edit.)since many years.
Humm you are lucky to go to the Christmas Fair !! How will your Christmas after the visit :-) ?

Sounds as though you had a great day - hope you've now recovered and are ready to show your wares!

What an absolutely lovely time you must have had, Lucy, and being tired after such a day is a small price to pay... I am in fact quite envious of your shopping spree in London as it has been too long since I had the same opportunity. I am also quite envious of your totally delightful cornish ware bowl of spring bulbs. The sight of it really did lift my spirits which tend to be on the low side this time of the year (spring and summer is what i "live for"...) and the lovely bowl with its contents really did make me think of the delightful time to come.

Hi Lucy it was sooooooo lovely to meet you at the fair; love those tea towels and unfortunately I didn't get a chance to shop! Really pleased to be back home now though. Look forward to seeing all your goodies. Kathyx

Lucy,
Oh how I would love to shop with you, everything you have mentioned down to a tee is me all over. Will be waiting in anticipation for a better view of the contents in your bag. Next time give me 26 hours notice, and I'll take a quick flight over, and we can ooh and ahh over all those lovelies in the shop together.
With Smiles

I do envy you that long day in London. Your plans for today sound very good also, particularly the part about someone making lunch!
Love your color sense, which rings forth in each of your photos.
Best wishes from another knitter/crocheter.
