About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Hi there just found your link on Marmalade Rose - I too live in North Yorkshire. We have just downsized (my kids are alas now adults) and taken
2 with us - love the house but if you want to read my blog you will see it was a long drawn out process. Still we are here. I was a Mum like you who couldnt wait to have the children at home in the hols especially when it was cold outside and you were snuggly and they were all playing (had 3!) around and chatting. I would always bake with them and we created so many things - those were the days enjoy and you are right they will be upstairs wanting privacy before you know it. My two youngest have bonded back again in this house 'cso we have two lounges I said the front one could be their's (especially for David who at 20 has been squeezed into a tiny room!) they sit in their every night watching their awful programmes (Hollyoaks!!??) and chatting and on the internet, texting etc. without realising it they have reverted back to those old days when they got on!! Nice to chat......

Discovered your blog today. I especially enjoyed your blog about Friday being your Happy Day. I feel a little bit like that too. After 26 years of working Fridays I don't any longer and like you I think Friday is a good day to buy magazines.Especially delicious ones like Country Homes and Period Living. P.S. Love the photographs.
