About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

The bird is the final touch on the Christmas wreath and it is so pretty I think I will have to make flock, I can already see the colours

This is so adorable! My granny has been really fed up lately. I think one of these lovely birdies will be ideal to create her grin. Thank you for the amazing guide.

I love, love, love your blog!!! Your patterns are awesome and have inspired me to break out my dusty hooks and push my knitting aside. I've been knitting for 34 years and crocheting for 31 and I sometimes put crocheting on the back burner but you got me excited about it again and for that I thank you! You really should consider publishing, I'd buy your book! And I really love that you take a billion photos because I teach a knitting and crocheting class at my children's school and it is soooo helpful! Thank you, thank you. I will be donating as soon as I can!

Thanks for sharing your pattern. I have just made two of these up as Christmas decorations for my new grandsons.

I am writing you from Ottawa, Canada and am inspired by your blog. Such a cute decoration and well explained.

I think I am going to be very busy making Birds and Baubles for my ladies at the aged care home..I think they will love them .We have an English lady here that is 100yrs old and knits beautifully. But now she would like to try something different ,bless her,and the 90yr old lady is sick of just knitting squares,so she is up for something new and doesn't even wear glasses while she works .

Oh I love this awesome little tutorial! I definitely want to make this for gifts and for myself. :)

I am featuring this tutorial in my article that you can go to by clicking on my name. Of course I've linked it back to here. If you would rather I not feature it there, let me know and I'll be happy to take it down! I just want everyone to see this cute little birdie as I think it would make a lovely mobile to hang over a baby's bed!

Thanks so much for sharing with us.

That was so great! So creative! Hi, I'm a publisher of the Learn Your Christmas Carols blog. I've published lyrics and videos to nearly 100 different popular, traditional, funny and obscure holiday songs and had over 25,000 visitors. I'd like to include links to recipes, decorations and crafts this year, and am wondering if you have any content you'd like to contribute?b The only requirement would be a link back in your sidebar or footer. I'm asking you because I found some good holiday content on your site that deserves a wider audience. If you're interested, please email me at juliegallaher@gmail.com or tweet me at http://twitter.com/juliegallaher

And I would like to share with girls yours projects. I know that english terms may be difficult if you don't know language so I would like to help. I'll link back to your blog any of translated tut.
Please let me know!

Can I just say a big thank you. I am off work at the moment, won't bore you with the details, buts thanks to you I have just sent my hubby out to the shops this afternoon to buy me a crochet hook and yarn. Have never tried before although it is something that I have been meaning to try for a while and would like to learn. I would really like to teach my girls one day, these crafty actives are an art and should be past on. Wish me luck I have a feeling I may need it.

Sara

I absolutely adore your blog and this pattern! I made these for mother's day and wrote about it on my blog. Your work is inspiring!
