Fabulous colors together--every item. Thanks for sharing your inspiration!

My Mooreland blanket has been long done and has become one of my favorite, most cozy blankets in my collection. The weight is just perfect for sitting by the fire or curling up on the couch. Although the stitch kicked my butt, it was well worth the frustration.

Will watch for the next CAL in November. Perfect timing as I have a rather large two blanket project to finish up.

Love from Canada to you Lucy!

I found your blog recently and the love of crochet has been awakened in me! I'm looking forward to participating in your next crochet along. Thank you!

I also made "something different" from your beautiful choices of yarn - my first-ever squares blanket:

Thank you again for so much love and fun with yarn!

Tuula Maaria

Ooh, I love all the different items! Especially the long jacket and the mix-stitch bag!

Just finished mine and I am going to use the leftovers to try and make your latest blanket.

Thanks for the delayed Ta-daa! It means I actually finished the blanket first......I know I didn't but my self esteem feels boosted! It's been a great project which I really enjoyed and you are completely right about the joy of knowing there are are other weird yarny people out there like me!

linda browning

wow! you are all so talented.

Dear Lucy,

Your ta-dah post comes at the perfect time for me as I am just finishing the border on this blanket. Last May I visited Yorkshire for the first time on a family holiday. I had originally brought the wool with me for your hydrangea blanket, but once I saw the moors and just how perfectly your blanket captured the scenery I felt compelled to start on the moorland version. I quickly found the nearest Styecraft stockist to stock up on the colors I was missing and I was off. The blanket now contains memories of family holidays in both Yorkshire and France (crocheting is a wonderful distraction in hours of summer traffic jams!)
On another note... I think you should be given credit by the Yorkshire tourist board for your wonderful marketing of this beautiful part of the world. I'm sure that our choice of Yorkshire for a family holiday has been subliminally influenced by reading your blog over the past number of years.
Thank you for your inspiration, enthusiasm and extremely well written patterns.

You have a wonderful blog! Just LOVE your Moorland Blanket. It sings of the vibrant colours of spring. My passion is to first of all learn and become competent in crochet and then to crochet an African bushveld scene, so thanks for the inspiration.

This is all very beautiful, and thank you for the insight into your creation from beginning idea to end. It helps us all appreciate it even more. Amazing how creative God made our minds to be. The colors and your photographs are stunning. Thank you for sharing with us.

These colours are a dream, I love them! I think I need the blanket AND cardi...

Rosanne (USA)

What a delightful post. Your Moorland blanket is beautiful.

Wow...just wow...if only I could find someone who would appreciate this.......Oh...that would be ME...!!!!..

What a wonderful post. As someone who has been to the UK but never seen the moorlands, I so enjoyed your pictures. Tell Little Lady how much your readers loved seeing the picture of the blanket upright! Fabulous!

It has been an amazing experience to CAL with you and so many others around the world. Thank you for bringing us together, Lucy. I cannot begin to tell you how much it means to me.

I have a question....Is one Yarn Pack enough to do the whole blanket?

Maureen Champion

Hi Lucy,
Each time I read about this lovely creation, I think of Emily Dickinson's poem,
I Never Saw a Moor.

I never saw a moor,
I never saw the sea;
Yet know I how the heather looks,
And what a wave must be.

I never spoke with God,
Nor visited in heaven;
Yet certain am I of the spot
As if the chart were given.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886

I am just finishing my Moorland blanket - it has been such a joy to work on! I am going to miss it!

Absolutely gorgeous ans so in keeping with the surroundings. I love the way you match your blankets to the places you visit. Thanks for this.
