Just emerging from the greens and browns onto the purples. Hoping to reach the sky by November. Perfect hooking whilst exploring the Leeds-Liverpool canal as I am surrounded by the colours I am using.

Lucy, I love your blog and I've been following you for the last 4 years.
The last photo is simply breathtaking!!!

Another CAL coming up? I can't wait!!!! I'm still working on the last few rows of the blanket, and I don't care it's taken me this long... it's been an absolute joy everytime I picked it up and did a few rows.
Thank you again!

Thank you for sharing your colourful and amazing ideas, your words, photos and crochet reach so many of us in blogland. Xs

What a beautiful blog post ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ You have created a truly beautiful blanket beyond words Lucy. Your creativity and minds eye is spectacular. My moorland blanket will always have a special place in my heart, life was extremely tough at the start of the year, and I was dreading what the new year would bring, the CAL gave me something to focus on away from life, by the time I had finished I had gained so much, much more than a finished blanket. I was no longer feeling isolated at home and feeling alone for I had discovered the Moorland Facebook group.. the rest you know! Thank you will never ever be enough but thank YOU! ♥♥♥♥ Loving all the different Moorland themed creations. Thrilled to see my moorland cushion up yonder! Thank you for EVERYTHING! Gez xo

I can feel your joy popping off the page. So inspiring! Thank you!!

That was one amazing "Ta-dah" post. The colors you chose for this blanket make such a gorgeous combo. It was equally fun seeing how a lot of other creative people used these same colors. Thanks for sharing all the beauty. I'm knitting a sweater at the moment with Stylecraft Batik DK. Still waiting for contrasting colors to arrive from Deramores...

OH MY gosh!!!!! Thank you for posting the amazing projects from other artists and for all your beautiful pictures on the moorlands! I never even touched my yarn ( I am very new crocheting, a little intimidated) but will this winter.

Fabulous colors together--every item. Thanks for sharing your inspiration!

My Mooreland blanket has been long done and has become one of my favorite, most cozy blankets in my collection. The weight is just perfect for sitting by the fire or curling up on the couch. Although the stitch kicked my butt, it was well worth the frustration.

Will watch for the next CAL in November. Perfect timing as I have a rather large two blanket project to finish up.

Love from Canada to you Lucy!

I also made "something different" from your beautiful choices of yarn - my first-ever squares blanket:

Thank you again for so much love and fun with yarn!

Tuula Maaria

Ooh, I love all the different items! Especially the long jacket and the mix-stitch bag!

Just finished mine and I am going to use the leftovers to try and make your latest blanket.

Thanks for the delayed Ta-daa! It means I actually finished the blanket first......I know I didn't but my self esteem feels boosted! It's been a great project which I really enjoyed and you are completely right about the joy of knowing there are are other weird yarny people out there like me!

wow! you are all so talented.

Dear Lucy,

Your ta-dah post comes at the perfect time for me as I am just finishing the border on this blanket. Last May I visited Yorkshire for the first time on a family holiday. I had originally brought the wool with me for your hydrangea blanket, but once I saw the moors and just how perfectly your blanket captured the scenery I felt compelled to start on the moorland version. I quickly found the nearest Styecraft stockist to stock up on the colors I was missing and I was off. The blanket now contains memories of family holidays in both Yorkshire and France (crocheting is a wonderful distraction in hours of summer traffic jams!)
On another note... I think you should be given credit by the Yorkshire tourist board for your wonderful marketing of this beautiful part of the world. I'm sure that our choice of Yorkshire for a family holiday has been subliminally influenced by reading your blog over the past number of years.
Thank you for your inspiration, enthusiasm and extremely well written patterns.

You have a wonderful blog! Just LOVE your Moorland Blanket. It sings of the vibrant colours of spring. My passion is to first of all learn and become competent in crochet and then to crochet an African bushveld scene, so thanks for the inspiration.

This is all very beautiful, and thank you for the insight into your creation from beginning idea to end. It helps us all appreciate it even more. Amazing how creative God made our minds to be. The colors and your photographs are stunning. Thank you for sharing with us.
