Those days that stay in the memory like that are such a gift. You have reminded me that I had a lovely home-made fabric kite when I was little that I loved to fly. I must dig out one for the littlest boy, he likes to fly a kite when there's a good wind. CJ xx

Moorland is finished and snaffled by 13 year old....the colours do look really good in his room. Coast is progressing slowly and won't be finished in time for 18 year old to take to uni - might have to be a Christmas present instead. Bridport Hat Fair today was such fun. Lots of wacky colourful hats. If you've never seen it I would think it would be right up your alley.

I wonder why I have, always disliked heather? It's certainly not the colour at all but I think possibly the 'texture' of the plant. I declared it 'evil' when I was a mere child apparently - still a funny old bird! Your photos are beautiful however. The saddest thing is that the local coach trip to Yarndale has been abandoned despite my efforts to fill the bus. So disappointed.

Gorgeous colours Lucy, I'm enjoying all the Moorland Blanket updates. I've still a few more rows to do on mine and of course the border. It's been too hot to sit under blankets, so other smaller projects have been done. So many people ask me about your blanket, it's greatly admired. some suggest I put it up on the wall, or sew pictures of trees etc on it. No, No, No! It's meant to be used. Cathy x

Lucky Lucy, you are living in such a wonderful landscape :-)

Just read summer moments five along with this heathery mix. It seems you have truely made the most of every family day as well as giving us the wonderful summer harmony blanket. Full days are blessed days indeed.
Our heather has also been stunning this year, as has this late summer sunshine I agree definitely not autumn untill the 22nd.

My Moorland blanket had to go on hold so I aim to get the pack out and start again tomorrow. The colours of the moors are magnificent.

Winwick Mum

And are you planning a photo-bloopers post too? ;) xx

Winwick Mum

Lovely! I was in Lancashire today and there was heather on the hills there too - it must be a good year for it! :) xx
