About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Just so lovely! Your posts are always creatively encouraging, as well as a reminder to slow down and be mindful of how I'm spending my day!

A good reminder, for us all. To be more grateful more often. Love the birdy candle stick, new? The poncho is growing nicely I see. I've been itching to start something, bigger than the little projects of late, just can't seem to decide though, so many ideas.Have a cozy weekend!

Such a lovely cosy post, looks like the poncho is coming along

Beautiful photos and such a lovely week it looks like!

Yes indeed...a good reminder...

I am still working on snowflakes which I love, but it's getting harder and harder. We have had so many spring-like days with temps as high as 70F - and no rain for over 40 days. However, your lovely home is so inspiring.

Would love to know more about the hanging over your desk at your studio (the one with the bird). It's so cute.

Your children are at such an incredible age, and I imagine your memories in the years to come will continue to keep you smiling.

So cosy and comfortable ★ ♥ ★

Thanks for showing how to stop to savour the moment.I do forget about it too often.

Beautiful pictures as usual! Warm lighting, a fireplace and cozy crocheted items, what a lovely home.

Lovely, cosy photos. Especially love your ducky hanging on your wall. My pet Flora Puddleduck is responsible for all sorts of ducky decorations in our home! That poncho's amazing!

These times spent at home whilst our little ones are small don't last long, so it's important to enjoy them whilst we can. Lovely photos xx

A home full of happiness!!!!! Lovely...

lovely, these are the perfect adjectives for right now, I think January should be a month of deep breathes and hibernating like this

Thanks, Lucy, for all the wonderful posts. It is so heartwarming to read a blog where there is so much beauty, cheer and gratitude for home life. Thanks for reminding me to be grateful.

Thx for the relaxing photos...a reminder to have an attitude of gratitude! One of your readers (Helen) said "a month of deep breaths & hibernating"...exactly methinks! Hugs, MO

I always love reading your blog and I'm working on my very first granny square blanket as you inspired me to learn to crochet. Could you please tell me the name of the book that Little B is writing in? It looks perfect for my nearly 4 year old.

I like your cosy home pictures. I have collected twigs and want to make things to decorate them. Think I'll start with the tiny hearts since it's almost Valentines. I need a bunting too! Thanks for all the inspiration, and the patterns help too, haha! Have a great week Lucy!

It's going to be finish of mine day, except before ending I am reading this enormous paragraph to increase my know-how.

Very lovely pictures!

Wonderful Lucy, I love, love, love the winter. Although I may be a little tired of rain by the end of the weekend - I have lots of standing outside watching football to do. How beautiful and cosy it looks at your house, I love to see Little B concentrating on his letters. I hope you all have a lovely weekend, CJ xx

A great reminder to savour the moment. A good thought to hold for 2014. Pop over and see what I do in my home to relax and savour. Thanks again Lucy x http://eclectichomelife.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/snowflakes-at-christmas.html?m=1

It looks both very cosy and productive too! I love your candlestick, it's very pretty. Winter makes me want to stay inside and do 'stuff' too. It's such a gentle time. x

So cozy - nice and colorful!
Good weekend
