About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

What a beautiful blue... right now, here in the mountains, the sky is quite gray...snow will be falling later on. m.b.

That's a very pretty wreath. Looking forward to seeing the poncho finished!

Lynne Gill

Blue skies, sunshine and crisp clean air here in West Norfolk this morning - turned pretty nippy after lunch I can tell you! Love that you are loud and proud about your fake tree! We gave in years ago, and I don't regret it.

I'm keeping an eye on that poncho - I sat up stitching a Summer Holiday colour scheme bangle last night with your wools in mind. I'll stick a photo up soon. No sign of your own Christmas wreath?

Enjoying posts from Lucy...enjoying rainbow birdy wreath...enjoying same said sun after long rainy spell...enjoying some quite hooky time before the brood is home from school.;)

Jo

Well we are enjoying reading about it. I am knitting in a sort of calm as I have been a bit too organised and peeked too soon! no matter there is always stuff to make. My tree is fake too, I think they are great. Jo x

That shop looks special! I must pop by over New Year.
Love your wreath xx

Heather

Oooh Lucy, look at your gorgeous shawl/poncho! I can't imagine you'll feel anything but happy and smiley when you're swathed in such a glorious rainbow.

I've been terribly disorganised despite best intentions but, dare I say it, am just starting to see the light and *whispers* get a bit excited!!!

Wishing you a week chock full of enjoyable moments!

Heather xx

How lovely. And the shop window looks as though Bagpuss should move in!

CJ

Such beautiful pictures. That shop window is glorious. I think the tree will be happening tomorrow here, yay! I'll put on the lights and the boys will put on anything and everything else. It's tradition.

Linda

We've been seeing beautiful blue skies here in Munich, Germany too. Unfortunately bad weather is coming at the weekend. Love reading your blog and seeing your lovely pictures. Thank you.

Liz

Wow! You're certainly speeding along with your poncho, it's beautiful. Love your wreath with the additional embellishments. Liz x

Love your positive cheery outlook on life. Finding many lovely things this month too, thanks as always for sharing Lucy. Today on my blog I make traditional Norwegian cookies with warming spices to warm the tummy. You are most welcome to visit.

Love the leafy glass behind the wreath. Your blog updates are as always a drop of sunshine and smiles.

Lots of joy here. I too have been enjoying glimpsing clear, bright skies and fresh Christmassy decorations

Your wearable blanket is looking very good Lucy. Love your wreath as well, all the colours of Lucy on there!! xx

One-oh-four

That poncho is looking gorgeous! Love the wreath, sadly it would probably get pinched off our front door. I keep asking if I can have one on the inside instead but OH just evades the question....guess that's a no then!

Els van der graaf

You are living in a beatiful environment, i love your pictures, they give me a happy fealing. All those bright colours are nice. It is so nice to read your blog. Whising you warm and lovely christmasdays, whith love, Els.

Frances

Lucy, I do like the way in which you've been adding a bit of Christmas cheer to your home...with your own distinctive flair of adding a touch here and there to what might be not quite so pretty left to its original appearance.

Happy Christmas! xo

Marylin

We have had had a few dismal monochromatic gray days & sunshine as well here. Some days have been so dark, so yes sunshine & blue skies are so cheery and uplifting! Guess what...I'm crocheting Lucy daffodils for a spring wreath!!! They are addictive!. Hugs, MO

Always enjoy seeing the canal. Lots of snow in my area, making for a festive holiday season. I was just thinking about your crocheted stars tonight and how I would like them to hang on my tree!
