About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Lovely! Our winter walk was in snow here,in the mountains. The closer they get to teenagers the worse it gets(with the outings).

Such lovely photos! The scenery is breathtaking.

Lovely photos Lucy, I'm determined to get Andy to take us OUT more this year ... fingers crossed!

Bellissime foto !!! Today we have cut our old olive trees to improve our olive oil organic production. Other landscape, other scenary but not less beautiful as your country.

It looks like a lovely time with your family. I love the pottery shard. I have a few little bits from a riverbank near where I grew up in New York. It's so exciting to find things like that.

I hope the buds of spring are soon to be seen! As much as I love winters, around march I usually get the urge for flowers, sunshine and warmth again :)

Looks lovely! A rugby match for us - I'm still doing the washing! And hoping we get some of the warm weather you've had!! x

Beautiful pictures from your walk!

Oh yes wait for a few years and you will feel like an alien for suggestinga walk! And yes they do still enjoy it once the protesting has ended!

Lovely photos, and I feel for you! I gave up trying to get my two to come out yesterday and in the end only one rose from their 'pit' to join me. Oh the joys of motherhood!! The reservoir looks beautiful even in the grayness of the day. Chel x

I love your blog! The fotos are amaizing! I'm a portuguese mom who lives in the city, but i dream go the country. :)

paesaggi sempre stupendi <3

What a lovely spot Lucy. I love all the textures and subtle colours you've captured in your pictures.

I know just what you mean about getting children out of the house! It's a real battle here, which I can understand when they've been at school all week, but there's so much to see and do isn't there. it's always great when we're out just like you say - thank goodness!

have a lovely week
Steph xx

Looks lovely - my idea of heaven! My two are the same about "walking for pleasure" or "walking for the sake of it" as they call it. I managed to prise them off the sofa to go ice skating yesterday - good exercise, chilly, but no nice view and horrendous disco music and flashing lights for two hours - they loved it though...

It's lovely to get out even if the weather isn't at it's best. At least it's not raining and before you know it spring will be properly here.

Love and stuff xx

I need to keep reminding myself how good it is to GO OUTSIDE! I always feel better after a walk and seeing some nature
Lovely pictures,it looks really chilly here

Hi Lucy, such gorgeous pictures as always.
I can only get mine to go to the park if involves taking some gadget....remote control planes this weekend....just walking will not tempt them....unless I can promise mud :0)

I am the same sometimes, the fireside is just too comfy in the cold weather, but when you do get out it's so refreshing and exhilarating. I'm glad they enjoyed getting out, it looks lovely. Not unlike my lovely Northumberland.

Lovely photos Lucy. I took my dogs up to Blackmoorfoot Reservoir outside Huddersfield about 8am last Thursday and it was breathtakingly beautiful, but very chilly! Most of the surface was covered with ice and as we walked it was just starting to melt away. I know exactly what you mean about the moaning on walks! I love my son very much, but my dogs are much better walking companions- lol!

sherri mclaughlin

lovely thanks

Oh , forgot to say....I've now got a lovely blog in my blogroll....called Down By the Sea.....Sarah lives in Dorset and takes beautiful coastal pictures, thought of you :0)
