About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Lucy,
Happy New Year...
I personally think you are the most creative and talented person that I have ever met or read about. Your blog is one of my absolute favorite things. Your colorful crochet items with your writing make it so peaceful and enjoyable for me. I wish I was living close to you and be your shadow for few days to learn things from you. You have inspired me to work on my crochet projects and try to finish them all. thank you for welcoming all of us to your world everyday. I wish you and your beautiful family the healthiest and happiest year ever.
Thank you,

Cara Louise

Okay Lucy, I am really, REALLY cross with you... having just taken delivery of five gold rings (actually five white polystyrene ones)and two pom pom makers in order to create wreaths in time for next Christmas!!! Your blog is so inspiring, colourful and meaningful that I OOOh! and AAAh! and get carried away with your enthusiasm for everything crochet, and your generous sharing of techniques and patterns. My days of little ones are over to some extent as I became a great-grandma at the end of last year, so I can give 'em back when I've spoiled 'em rotten!! I'm really hoping you may find time to share the pattern for the bower bird... I will not totally copy your wreath design but use it as an inspiration - Oh, I bought five hoops because I just know that family and friends will covet one for themselves, but hey ho I have 12 months and a huge bag of wonderfully colourful woolly ball ends to sort that one out!!

Have a truly blessed Christmas and the happiest New Year - I hope you and yours are safe, warm and dry.

I look forward to visiting your blog in 2013.

Cosy and bright - nothing less than we'd expect from a visit to Attic 24! Hope you can grab a bit of rest before Tuesday.

We've moved to Scotland from the north east and two shops I miss are Wilkinsons and Boyes. Living by the sea now does make up for it but I do always budget for a wee shopping trip when we visit our North east family!

Happy Christmas to you and yours!

Debbie

Lucy,

I wish you and your family a Blessed, Happy and Healthy Holiday!!! You have inspired me and brought so much joy to my life through your blog this past year and as a result I have taken up crocheting again! Thank you so much for that.
