About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married, stay at home Mum with three young children. We live in a 100year old Victorian house in the North of England which we are slowly renovating, and here I spend my days :: mothering, decorating, crocheting, baking, sewing, crafting and gardening. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world. xxxx

Aaah, it's so nice to see you that excited. I started to make pom poms, too. And spotted the heart shaped pom pom maker Clover does. You'll have to try this one, it's A-W-E-S-O-M-E!

Mellie

Oh my ... I am so jealous ... I need some hooky time ... sooooooon!!! x

Sian Collins

I love knowing there's somebody else out there like me in the crazy exhuberance of creativity! Your wreath looks amazing!!!

Fiona

Cards write themselves, presents buy and wrap themselves but knotting needs a skilled and dedicated hand. That's what I tell myself anyway! Fiona

Kezia

This is totally how I feel when I have an exciting project on the go! Enjoy your 140 minutes of pom-pom making:)

cristina

Lucy, is admirable all your work. Thanks to you I am now more happy to my blog on crochet. I am grateful to you, thaks... thanks...

sheila

Ooooh so pretty, no point of even trying to make room for anything else!!

Thomasina Tittlemouse

Stifling creativity when it's a-bursting is like King Canute trying to turn back the waves! And the amazing thing is you'll find you will have time and energy to do the other stuff when the creativity comes to a natural pause! But not before! So don't fight it, just go with the pom pom making flow. Can't wait to see the finished wreath in all its hooky and pom pom glory! I am making something similar but unfortunately wok is currently getting in the way of progress! Blissful creative minutes to you, Lucy! E x

Thomasina Tittlemouse

"work" not "wok" obviously! E x

Anna

Oh my goodness, I can't wait to see the finished wreath. Looks amazing so far. I will have to do one next year - too busy crocheting mittens at the mo!

Kate Lantry

I know exactly how you feel! Who can cook and clean when there are things to make? Can't wait to see your wreath; it looks amazing!

Ada Bea

I feel excactly the same as you do. Wow, it is not only me and my crafty yarn, but in England, too, smile smile... Unn.

Sam

I thought you were going to say 140 pom-poms to make, lol!!!

Bari Jo

Oh this is sooo exciting! Such fun! I love when a project comes out like you hoped, even better than you hoped, and I love that feeling of can't put it down til it is finished and hung up! Way to go! Can't wait to see it all- thanks for the peek!

Sara Jenkins

And I'm supposed to be working - not looking at your blog! :) Keep thinking of those super cute balls - could they have a tinkling bell in them too - and make a garland with snowflakes and stars? Maybe a bower bird too?

Sara Jenkins

These are ideas for me to do - you clearly don't need any more and are more than busy enough for one person! Hope you are having fun. x

Kate

Creating is just the best thing. Dust? It can wait...

Dinahsoar

The wreath is beautiful!!!!! I LOVE IT! and would love to see more of it, full view. How I wish my thumb was not an issue, I'd be whipping out some yarn. Also, it has retro appeal and I adore anything retro. Amazing--I totally 'get' your giddiness.

Kris

LOVE!!!!!

Lisa G.

I particularly like your holly leaves.

california sue
