About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Great sewing. Been reading you a while now but this post made me comment. Oh yes, I live in USA the State of Kansas. FYI - I love that round crocheted pillow on top of the others. Do you have a pattern for it? I do crochet some of the time.

Oh these look so scrumptious Lucy! So pleased you've started using fabrics again as well as doing your hooky :o)

Have a happy, happy weekend my dear.
Take care.

Fabby cushions Lucy! They obviously breed in your house like they do on my sofa. I must admit I always go for envelope backs with buttons because of the dreaded zips. Yours look great and so good alongside the crochet ones. That crochet one on the top of the pile is amazing.
Have a great weekend.

Super duper lovey love! Your collection of fabric bits is awesome and I'm loving the trims!

Delightful cushions and inspirational, as always, Lucy. I've crocheted two colorful
blankets, two pillows and knitted a ripple aghan - all due to your inspiring patterns and spirit. My husband LoVEs them!!

Simply marvelous, Lucy, the Connievan will love the cushions and new ones will make the attic shine.

Hi!,I love your colourful blog, the lovely things that you make, they´re so funny and beautiful, good job!.

See you!

Those cushions are simply divine!

I love cushions! The husband doesn't get them. Beautiful. :)

I love your cushions and they definitely are recognizable as yours! I have some of your fabrics in my own stash. I recognize a couple of Denise Schmidt ones besides the Kaffe Fassett.

Very pretty cushions. As a Patchwork addict I especially love them but stalk your blog for your beautiful crotchet creations! Keep on creating in both mediums.

Oooooo my. If there is one thing your blog always does for me it's that I am assaulted by color, and that always cheers me up! Thanks for sharing this project of yours! Love the fabrics.

Attic 24 patchwork!!!! Love it!! I don't think I ever get tired of fabric! The colors and patterns are so much fun to work with! And you are right, there is no such thing as too many pillows (cushions)!! Happy weekend Lucy!

These are so beautiful! I'm inspired to make my own, & you've reminded me that I need to get my pinking shears back from a friend. :)

I'm scared to death of my sewing machine, but you're making me want to overcome my phobia. It's the instant gratification that's got me intrigued. Sheesh... it would've taken me weeks to crochet or embroider something equally as fab, plus I love the contrast of the colorful fabrics next to the crochet.

Lovely cushions! I'm going to steal your idea of stitching ribbons along the seams - fab!
I can spot one Amy Butler fabric in there - the light green one with teal flowers - and I think some of them are Sandy Henderson fabrics, and you also have that wonderful Kaffe Fassett paperweight design there (I think I have it in all colourways!) and one of his florals - you have great taste in fabrics!

Mmmmm, Monty Don and a riot of primula colour AND another Lucyious cushion. More zip perfection; I'll have to try harder! Lucy, you lighten my heart, thankyou xxxxxxxx

A house can never have enough cushions! I think I'll stitch that onto the front of one of my designs - it's a good maxim tho? They're very Lucy Cushions - excellent!

Connivance will look a Bobby Dazzler! Lovely ... Enjoy your weekend, Claire xxx

Sorry, my iPad does predictive text, and that was meant to say Connievan and not connivance! Xxx

Just Lovely! ♥♥♥

they brighten up a dull wet April thats for sure!
