About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married, stay at home Mum with three young children. We live in a 100year old Victorian house in the North of England which we are slowly renovating, and here I spend my days :: mothering, decorating, crocheting, baking, sewing, crafting and gardening. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world. xxxx

I can't wait to see it - sometimes just a hint is enough to be exciting. I love your mini bunting - I haven't done any for a little while so now I feel all inspired to have another go! Lots and lots of love, Kate xxooxx.

Clare Fairclough

LOL! you already are responsible for a growing number of empty jars on my kitchen worktop, and a collection of forgotten yarns, unearthed! Looking forward to your next reveal!!

shelley

You are hilarious!! I have visions of every receptacle at Attic 24 receiving a spiffy striped covering by the end of the winter!

Kelly

WOW! You have been a busy lady, go Luce! Thanks for the inspiration!!! ♥

Cori

This made me laugh, and I needed a good chuckle today! Can't wait to see what it is!

Cathy

Sounds intriguing!! X

nell ward

LOVE IT!!! I'm even wondering how our big ugly recycling bin would look covered in delicious wooly stripes - oh what would the neighbours say?!

Vicki

Ooooh yet more intrique! How very exciting!

Becky

Where did you get that cute hook? I love the polka dots!

Kate

I have a whole car full ready to go to the tip- got enough yarn to wrap it for me?

Rebecca

Seriously, Lucy, only you could turn garbage into joy.

Sandi Lee

Ookkkkyyyyy, I am very intrigued as to what this is going to be. It looks ultra cute, what ever it is.

HI!! Just had to tell you that you are a great inspiration!! You make my day and through your blog, have inspired me so much to to crochet!! I am a long time knitter!! You make seem life simple! I am attempting a hexagon blanket. Look forward to your posts and ideas. :-)

Victoria Brewer

Can't wait for the ta-dah! We love you like a sister, Lucy! Thanks for always including us in all of this colourful fun!

Seaweedandraine

I second Jaymie! LOL Are you going to wrap a So Good carton? (Do you have those in the UK?)
Tell me... have you ever entered the world of DPN's? I don't like them. They are awkward. Where is my hook!!! (Actually, do you know of any good baby patterns for crochet beanies and such for baby boys?)

Sarah

You'll be making toilet roll covers next!!!
40(ish) years ago my Grandmother had a crocheted one on the windowsill in her toilet ... with half a plastic dolly sitting on top as if it was her skirt ... it was truly awful ... perhaps you could redesign one for the 21st Century and introduce a whole new generation to the crocheted toilet roll cover!!?? I'm sure yours would be super-funky!
I have a Dolmio jar with a stripey hooky jacket next to my sink ... it holds my washing up brush! and matches my kitchen tiles ... sad but true!! xx

Kay G.

It won't be long until you have the world covered in bright Lucy colourful rainbow goodness!
Oh dear, did I really just type that? ;-)

Katie

Sounds intriguing...I do love that little suitcase - so cute!

Christina

What in the world are you up to now?! Lol. It's gorgeous though already.

I need to say a big thank you to you Lucy. I'm an avid crafter loving knitting, sewing, embroidery but crochet was something I had never attempted until now. Your blog inspired me to go and buy a book, look at some of your tutorials and now after a very short space of time I am busily crocheting away my first project, a round stripy cushion cover. Thank you so much for the inspiration and the tips. I can't wait to see what you're producing.
