About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married, stay at home Mum with three young children. We live in a 100year old Victorian house in the North of England which we are slowly renovating, and here I spend my days :: mothering, decorating, crocheting, baking, sewing, crafting and gardening. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world. xxxx

Poor Little Man, I hope he feels better soon. We have been there, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Bless you.

Poor. Wee soul- it sounds a nasty virus.Made the gingercake but it was very dry so I should have followed my instinct and and some extra liquid at the mixing stage! Hope the doc can help little man tomorrow.

Deborah

Lucy I wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year! I will prayer for your Little Man's recovery. You have been an inspiration for me here in my little row house as we call them in Philadelphia in the US. I hope all the Joy you spread is returned to you 100 times over.:):)

Lovely to out on days like that isn't it?

Sorry to hear about Little Man, our virus thing took us from 6-10 weeks to get rid of...we are currently dealing with the vomiting bug!!

Glad you took time for carols...doesn't it get you in the mood?

Love to you all and Healthy prayers being sent to the Big Man upstairs!

I hope your Little Man feels better quickly, poor little guy. I'm with you on the weeping at Christmas Carols, must be the age. Hope your days stay lovely and bright.
Take care,
Louise

Anne Marie

Poor little thing! Hope he recovers soon in time to be running non stop around the house!

carla

nice to read you again.
So sorry about your Little Man, hope he gets well soon.
It's always kind of energizing having a glance at the Attic. Seems that I'm not the only one to worry about kids, carrols, Christmas presents and stuff...
Here in Spain it's cold too, but almost shiny (?? I mean very sunny) everyday, as I live at the East coast.
My first WIP is almost finished. It is a Summer Garden Blanket. Perhaps too small, but enough for the first time I hook. Colours are not so nice as yours, perhaps I have to go to UK to get yarn!! But my three children are "fighting" for being the first to use it. Thanks, Lucy, for being there, for sharing your life with us. And, again, forgive me about my terrible English.
Merry Christmas for you all.

Oh poor little sausage I hope he is better very soon,,,,,definitely in time for Santa!!!
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas Day and I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for being such an inspiration to me and obviously so many other people around the world.
Thanks to your beautiful, colourful crochet I have been determined to push on and learn the art of crochet. This year I have completed a large blanket which my hubby claimed as his own, a scarf for by step daughter and am almost finished a scarf of my own (this last one has been unpicked several times as something keeps going wrong with my ripple pattern lol....I am just going to finish it and put it down to a learning scarf. I love the colours but the ripple has somehow disappeared over the last 5-6 rows lol, oh well)
So thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

Kate

I always have trouble keeping the emotions in check at carols/nativity time.
Do hope your young man is feeling better soon.
Have a lovely cosy Christmas.

Hope little man recovers in time for Sunday's festivities - isn't it awful when the little peeps are unwell and you can't do anything much, other than watch their little body fight, to make them better :( Have a lovely Christmas- best wishes to all! X

the sight of your mountain always makes me happy, in every weather.

here's a wonderful poem by coleridge about cold crisp silent nights, and his wishes for the baby sleeping beside him.
