About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married, stay at home Mum with three young children. We live in a 100year old Victorian house in the North of England which we are slowly renovating, and here I spend my days :: mothering, decorating, crocheting, baking, sewing, crafting and gardening. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world. xxxx

It's the little things in life that are really the big things. Thank you for such a lovely post, reminded me to nurture my attitude of gratitude x.

Hi Lucy, What a nice suprise, i was looking at your "blogs i Like" and i see your lovely colourful new post . Always is a joy to read.
Thanks so much for nearly a years worth of colour. I discovered your blog at a difficult time and it cheered me then and continues to do so. Much love (happy half term if yours is next week) Susan xxx

Libby

And what lovely, picturesque moments they were! Your blog will be a wonderful reminder of these times as Little B grows. Thanks so much for sharing them!

What a lovely day!

It was frosty here last night too, but it warmed up this morning just enough for it to have melted around 7am!

I love the picture of little B's hand in yours! They are only so small for such a short time. I must not let these days pass me by in a blur of routine. Thank you for the reminder to count those blessings!

Holly

Very poetic. Today's post took me back to the time when my young'ns where babies. I miss bundling up and taking strolls to the park. I really miss seeing the world through their eyes. Thanks for the reminder.

Today, my day is now made. Today as special friend shared her day. Today I can be thankful she still knows how to touch our hearts. Today I'm a wee bit jealous I don't have a canal to walk along. Today, I say, bless you Lucy.

Mary

Your blog today made me think of also taking pictures of the lovely part of the world. Coffee, plants, blue sky. Your blog makes me so happy in Maine, USA. I've always wanted to see the countryside of England, and I can do it through you. Some day I'll get there. Thank you SO much.......you're a blessing to my days.
Huge Hug,
Mary :-)

Your blanket is lovely. I like the way that you repeat colours for a while and then change over. It is very different to the way I do my blankets, but I like it too.

Very best wishes
Primrose

I must tell you - I have been lurking around in your archives all this week. It has been dreary here (the sun finally came out today) and the pops of color on your blog have been making me so happy. I love your attic views, and the bright yarns you use for your yummy yummy projects. Every single thing about your little web spot here, really. I just wanted to let you know that and to say hi!

Just found your blog thanks to the Tots 100. Your picture of the canal makes me fairly certain we live in the same town! Very random.

There's nothing sweeter than a toddler's soft, pudgy little hand...makes me miss my "babies" now that they're teenagers.
