I was hoping to write up a little review of our last holiday in Connievan which was at the beginning of June, but time has run away from me. I uploaded the pics a long while ago but haven't found time to sit peacefully and write about it. It was a super-duper holiday with some very fond memories now attached to it. I'll share it with you soon. That's one of the things I absolutley love about blogging, the fact that I can use it as a Family Diary to preserve our memories. But it's no good if important chapters are missing. Remind me not to forget, won't you?
We are off again in Connievan, leaving today for a week in York. We are repeating what we did last year, although we're staying at a different camp site this year. I'm about to commence our very slap-dash preps for a week away in the 'van, ie slinging a heap of clean clothes into a big bag. Magazines and hooky for Me, books and the laptop for Him. Scooters and DS Lite's for the Little People, toys with buttons and silly noises for Little B. All sorted.
Looking forward to spending time with great friends in a familiar and vibrant city (I shall be shopping I think!). See you when we get back xxxxxxxxxxxx
ps while I've been sat writing this, Little B has emptied out the fridge onto the kitchen floor and helped himself to a feast of strawberries and cheese slices. Man, that child. Deep breaths.

Oooh dear, I can't help laughing at the thought of Little B having his feast! Have a lovely time away, Luce. Lots of shopping!

Have a fabulous holiday! Looking forward to hearing about it and your June trip too :-) I have a little man that is getting into similar mischief at the moment! On Thursday, he drew on the wall, ate the calendula cream for nappy rash and ripped the newspaper to shreds! (deep breaths....for sure!)

Sorry, but I had to laugh! Funny how being a Mummy to a small child means that getting a few quiet minutes to get something done makes you get worried about why it's gone all quiet - it's nearly always trouble!
Hope you have a fab Connievan time. :)

You need to put some occy straps on the fridge door to keep it closed ......that's what I did when my twins were little.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bungee_cord
They are called occy straps in Australia - not sure what you call them in the UK.

Little B, what a funny little chap. When my sister in law was on the phone once, her eldest child got into the pantry and tipped out all the flour, coconut, breakfast cereal etc. and topped it off with eggs and then rolled his little brother in it, they had so much fun!! My two boys didn't do anything, but my daughter drew on the walls and stuffed things up her nose, thank goodness she told me so I could get them out.
Have a wonderful week away catching up with friends.

I used to love my fridge lock when my three were little.

When my lot were littlies they once decided to have a "nicpic" in the living room just after I'd been baking ... no coincidence there then ;) I went off for a quick shower and came back to a lot of crumbs!! Enjoy it all ... no time at all and they're all grown up!
Happy Connievan-ing x

I love the crochet blankets in the pic - you made them ? Must learn to do that.
I am also known for a love of bright colours and its great to get a fix from your wonderful pics.

Helping oneself to strawberries and cheese is something my little man (3yo) would do... My 5yo can undo the fridge lock 8) so I have to make sure I keep my eye on them at all times! Hope you have a lovely holiday, with lots of sunshine for hooky time (I just got me some new hooks, must get some new yarn...hehehe), and time to spend with your lovely people! Love your packing tactics!

Lol at Little B, My middle one had a passion for emptying the bookcase and video cabinet, drove me mad!
Have a fantastic time in York. I hope you get a good chance to relax and hook.

Have a wonderful holiday. We are also thinking about buying a caravan, a very tiny one suitable for two people. Maybe next year?
Btw, I've finished an arctic baby blanket based on your hexagons. It came out quite nice. Thanks for the inspiration! :o)

Are there any good yarn shops in York? I wouldn't mind a day trip over there this summer hols. As for fridge locks they are definitely not child proof! After many different types being tried to keep out my daughter many years ago I eventually opted for a lock on the kitchen door!

Have fun. I am just catching up as I have been away. Boys! I keep finding cheese with bites taken out of it and fruit half eaten in the fruit bowl. Grrrrrr!!

LOL at little B's antics. Sometimes they are just too much - but then, they are so adorable that you just can't resist them anyway! :)
Loving that striped bit of hookey on the seat :)
Hope you have a lovely holiday!
