One quarter of 2011 has passed by already, can you believe it??
I've really enjoyed making my mosaics for this first quarter. In my mind it feels as if my year so far has been quite muddled with not an awful lot of achievement. Yet looking at the above 27 images and I am filled with relief, because it all looks quite lovely and reassuringly familiar!!
I see the beauty of the everyday, some wonderful completed projects, springtime arriving, precious time spent with Little Ones. Homely comforts, creativity, love, happiness. And I am glad. Glad that I have captured these precious snippets of life as they whizz by. It all feels right and good.
I've been trying to write my "April" post for the past five days but have not managed it as yet....Little B is unwell and so life is temporarily quite tricksy and draining. Please bare with me, I shall get to it when I am able. In the meantime, I'd like to say a HUGE thank you for all your wonderful words on my last post (the Knitty one), Little Lady and I have had so much fun sitting and reading them together, she is chuffed to bits, honestly. She has a Birthday coming up soon and has requested some Yarn of her Very Own, which has rendered me chuffed to bits.
Right-oh, off to get those cheeky Little Peeps into bed, closely followed by yours truly. See you again soon when we are germ-free (please let it be soon, please, pretty-please. Thank you.)

Hasn't it gone so fast! Lovely mosaics, aren't the simple pleasures the most wonderful!
Hope Little B is well soon.

Sounds like someone is following in her Mother's footsteps. You have to be very tickled indeed. Thanks for sharing. Barb

Hope you and your family feel better soon. In terms of what you have achieved this year, you have totally inspired me, and I am sure many many others, with the adorable things you have made. I have been inspired by looking at the beautiful things you made to start crochet, and to start a blog. So thanks lots!!

You have accomplished so much in three months! Must use "chuffed to bits" in the future in the correct context. Best wishes for speedy recoveries.

Lovely mosaics Lucy ... hope you and Little B are feeling better today. I am curious to know what type of yarn Little Lady has asked for for her birthday, she's so sweet and I'm glad she's enjoying her knitting.

It's not about quantity but quality Lucy, and by the look of your mosaic of pics, you have already had many creative, happy moments this year.
What's more, this post has made me feel very happy at the end of a very grey and chilly Midlands day, thank you so much xxx

Such lovely photos as usual, very satisfying to look back and have a record proving what has actually been accomplished in daily family life.
Hope the germs leave you all well alone very soon, they're not nice!

What a lovely mosaic of the past few months!
By the way you can buy a spotty case knitting set / case with a few balls of yarn in. Very girly & sweet!
Look forward to yours & Little Lady's next creation - it must be good to have a yarny sidekick! :)

Hi Lucy, I loved your mosaics too. I have yet to figure out just how to do it, as the only one I made was using PhotoShop and took forever.
I'm happy that LL wants her own yarn too - my daughter did some when in High School and did a scarf not long ago but isn't super into it like I am.
My best friend from 7th grade and her husband are due to arrive here any minute for 2 days.. I think I will crochet on my flower wrap while we chat. :-)

I love the tree quilt in February! I couldn't find a blog post about it. Did you make it? So, so pretty! I would like to know more about it.
Thanks for telling us about the book too. I want one and I don't even have a little girl to share it with. Maybe it's better that way. I can make any project I want! :)
Hope the wee ones feel better soon!

Lovely lovely mosaics as ever. Whenever I visit your lovely blog I think that I must start taking more photos of everyday things around me so that then I might actually have something interesting to write about and might truely get back to blogging. I don't know how you manage to be a Mum to three, create such beautiful things and write the most inspirational blog. I am finding it hard just doing the Mummy bit at the moment and I just have the one to look after.(and he's not even got to the really active stage yet!)I long to be creative again and to really get my blogging mojo back again. In the meantime I'm just glad I am able to visit the Attic every day for my creativity fix. Hope little B is better soon. Fiona x

Your post about your daughter learning to knit sounded very familiar. In our house, as well, I crochet and my daughter is learning to knit. Hope you get rid of the bugs soon. We miss you.
(By the way, I'll be happy to bear with you, but to bare with you is asking a bit much, don't you think?) Cheers!
