About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married, stay at home Mum with three young children. We live in a 100year old Victorian house in the North of England which we are slowly renovating, and here I spend my days :: mothering, decorating, crocheting, baking, sewing, crafting and gardening. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world. xxxx

Lucy, I'm a realitive newcomer to your blog and I love it. I live in Arkansas in America and I really enjoy seeing the little slice of life you share in your blog. Your little town is lovely and your crochet talent is remarkable.
Keep up the good work. I look forward to more beautiful scenery and lovely craftiness.
Happy New Year,
Luann

What fun to see the view from the Attic through the seasons!! Love that warm, golden light in September! Thanks so much for taking the time to post during this hectic, crazy year, Lucy. You are always a bright spot in my day when you're able to post!

Kathy

Lucy, thank you for the awesome pictures of beautiful England. I live in Virginia USA and have lovely views of the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountians. We owe much to a great Creator. A friend sent me the publication "My England" which I have kept for the beautiful pictures.

Katherine

I love your view! And how beautiful to see the photos all together from month to month.

Katie

Love love LOVE your view, especially watching it change with the seasons. Thanks for sharing :-)

Ya know what....I really like that season to season photo idea...A24, good work.

So, so good.
I love the bird in January, but I also love the way the hillside gets greener and greener.
I did a similar project with a view close to my house, http://fifthlampdown.blogspot.com/2008/10/one-year.html I love how the landscape changes, but stays the same.

Kristin

This is just lovely! I long for the day I can visit your corner of the world. Thank you so much for all the wonderful pictures of a place I hope to see some day.

Hi Lucy, in the early 90s when I lived in Texas I got ahold of a terrific book called the Shellseakers by Rosamunde Pilcher , I liked it so much I felt as if we knew eachother , then I proceeded to read all of her novels which are mainly about family , artists in Cornwall. Since then It is a dream to go there..Do you like the place , ever go there ? What can you tell me about it ?? I would like to try a pasty someday. :)

Kris

Wow..that was stunning!!!

Claire Smith

Lucy, if I had a view like that from my attic....... no, wait a minute, if I had an attic....
You would have to drag me away from it, to do anything. That is just such a beautiful, view.

Ali

I think that just might be my favourite round up of the year. I would make one of my own, but the view is nowhere near as glorious.

Anna

Simply beautiful!! Brilliant idea on your part!!

Donna

How lucky you are to have a view out you window like that..and such a beautiful view too :0)
Have you noticed that in July's picture the whole landscape seem to be much closer to you for some reason? Obviously it's greener, but it's kinda pulled in towards you..
It must be fabulous to look on this every day.
No wonder you love it Lucy :)
Thankyou so much for sharing.
Have a great week Lucy.
Warm wishes,
Donna x

Ah lovely...I do a similar thing each morning and see what the top of the Law(a large hill nearby) looks like though I can't see as much of it as I would like. I love the seasons and couldn't live anywhere where the weather isn't as changeable. Having said that I love the August photo for showing what British summers teend to be like most of the time!! I'm hoping to make it back to your little town this summer. You're right it is pretty and I've yet to find a better market!

Lovew and stuff xx

RachelM

Beautiful view!

I've written a free crochet hat pattern on my blog, I'd love it if you could have a quick look at it. It's the first time I've written one!

I have your December view as the wallpaper on my computer at work. Its a magical window into a world I love, it reminds me of the Brontes and the world of Victorian literature. Thanks so much and keep on taking pics from your "room with a view".
