Only a few more days remaining of twenty-ten, I can hardly believe it's true. This year has passed by so fast, yet at the same time the beginning of the year seems soooooo far away, do you know what I mean?? I do really quite like this time though, the imminent arrival of Year's End. I find it enjoyable to take stock a little, to ponder over the way the year has unfolded, to remember the highs and the lows, and to make a few plans for the fresh New Year ahead.
During the past few days I've been looking back through my photograph archives, stirring up the dusty old memory banks inside my terribly forgetful noggin. I have to say that it's been really pleasurable to re-visit the past year in picture form. I've also been re-reading my photo-heavy blog posts from the end of December 2009 too, gosh, my life is remarkable samey year in year out!
Anyhow.....whilst I've got J at home to do daddy stuff with Little B this holiday, I'm finding time to spend on the laptop which is bloody marvelous! I've been busy creating lots of mosaics and gathering pictures together to share with you over the next few days for my Year End Reviews.
First up I bring you the Floral Review..........enjoy, enjoy, it's a visual feast of colour and freshness!!!
.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, deep contented (((sigh))). I just cannot for the life of me contemplate a life without fresh flowers, they deliver such all round pleasure.
Well, I hope you enjoyed the floral eyecandy today :: tomorrow it's all about the Hooky Stuff :o)

ps last years Floral Review can be found here if your eyes can take it x

Ahhhhh, lovely, lovely, colourful lovliness if ever there was!! Thank you for this, it's been rather dreary weather wise here, dank fog and drizzle and only earlier today I looked out of the kitchen window and marvelled at how bleak it looked in comparison to summer when it froths over like a rainbow with all our glorious flowers. I hope you have a wonderful 2011 - I shall look forward to your other picture posts and catch up with you again soon.
Sending love

Super Duper lovely post Lucy! Gorgeous flowers. I bought myself roses yesterday, popped into my Whittard jug on the kitchen windowsill. Lovely. 2011 is going to be My Year of Flowers, I am positively popping with excitement at this prospect!

AHH, Lovely on a dreary rainy day! Do you grow them or purchase them? I am attempting your crocheted striped tote. I am a novice! My biggest difficulty is changing colors/yarn and making it look neat! Any suggestions?
Blessings in 2011,
Lorilee

How lovely! I've got hayfever so badly at the moment, just looking at those pictures of flowers made me sneeze! But what a lovely collection.
Best wishes for the new year.

Lovely, and all of the colors that I think of when I think of your blog. Your bright colors are what attracted me to reading your blog in the first place. We used to live in England and I loved it and miss it but remember how dreary the winter days can be. I think the bright colors in your home must make winter much brighter!

I love it! Thanks for the wonderful post on such a grey day. My favorite is the jug of blue flowers where I can "just" see the top of a cute smiling baby head over the flowers (I can only tell he's smiling because of his eyes)

What a lovely post. Although living in England for the past 20 years, the daffodil - always takes me back to my chilhood growing up in Wales.
Every child wore a daffdil to school on March 1st - St. David's Day.
Wonderful blog.
Have a great New Year.
June.

Dear Lucy I took a step out into my garden this morning and everything looked so wet and foggy dull!!! Sitting at the table later in the morning with a cup of tea I'm planning what to grow in the coming year. Hoping to take some inspiration from one of Sarah Raven's books to provide more cut flowers for the house.
Look forward to your hooky post.xx
