Ahhhhh hello my lovelies, and welcome to this year's yarn-infested Hooky Review!!!
It's been FAB-u-lous putting this post together, I've enjoyed it so much!! For one thing, I have been totally blown away by just how much crochet has really happened in 2010. Did I really, really, really manage to create All This???? REALLY???????? erm.................how exactly??? Hahahaaa....honestly, it feels to me as if the year has been so chaotic, so baby-orientated and sleep-deprived that nothing creative has been possible at all. That's how it feels, yet looking at the pictures here today I am quietly impressed with my own industriousness. True, I may not have been quite as productive as last year, but bloody hell I haven't done bad if I do say so myself.
So without further blub, here is my Hooky Year in Pictures...................................

I am SO impressed by your productivity. It is no mean feat having a baby and taking care of the rest of the family too. It just shows how extraordinary you are as a creator of colourfull lovelyness. And think, you mustered the time to take photos of it AND even blog about it! I know you haven't been blogging as much as previous years, but who would expect that anyway. Have a Happy and colourful and creative New Year! I am looking forward being inspired by you...

WOW! I've been following your blog for just over a year now, (found you when I was looking for snowflakes last year) and I'd just like to thank you for making my morning routine of coffee and blogs inspiring and joyous and something to look forward to each day. Your choices of colours and designs are so scrumptious and it's so nice to see the weather up on the other side of Lancashire!
Love to you and your family for 2011.

Wow. How wonderful. I really love all the gorgeous colours you've used.
Being too poorly to feel creative I have just spent an hour looking back at my blog checking on all the different crafts I have done over the last year. It's amazing what we can do in a year isn't it? It has done me good too and although not feeling well enough to actually do any crafting I have certainly been inspired :-)
Hope 2011 comes with better health so we can all continue to be creatively crafty.
Love your blog :-)
Hugs, A x

You're up late girl! As am I... I often check in before heading off for some hard-earned zzzeds myself. Got a bit side tracked tonight and when I came back all your lovely crochet was up! I will dream in colour tonight, for sure!
I am finishing off a pastel leftovers granny blanket... Cannot wait to finish it and do something in proper colour.
Greetings from sunny Sydney!

All those pretty yarns. Isn't fun to look to back and find you were more productive than you thought you were?

LOL! I've just realized that it cannot possibly be night time where you are, if it is night here... Brain is asleep already...

I am sooo enjoying looking back over the year with you in the Attic. Brings back memories and reminds us of all the things we have achieved this past year....it always amazes me what we actually get done that we wouldn't otherwise recognise unless it was put into a blog, or a journal or these lovely pics from you.......delicious!! I hope you have a lovely New Year with your family and friends and a brilliant, productive and sunny 2011. xx

So much loveliness! It's amazing what can get done in little pockets of time. And reassuring for me since I'm expecting my first little one next year, so it's nice to know creativity continues to bubble along even when sleep and time deprived. Your blog has been so inspiring to me. I made a star garland for a Christmas decoration that was influenced by yours. http://allison.gryski.com/2010/12/star-garland-ta-dah.html

Wow, that's a lot of hooking!
I think the vintage stripe and the granny stripes are my favourites.
Amazing how little families can take up so so much of our time, it can certainly feel like it's all gone on others sometimes.
But yay for the mental space and timeout of crafty creativity!

What a treat, seeing new posts from you in Google Reader. You did a LOT of crocheting this past year and with a new baby yet. Great job, Lucy. Everything is so beautiful and cheery.

My dearest Attic 24,
You.
are.
an.
I N S P I R A T I O N.
absolute inspiration to me.
I 'sort of' crochet here and there, but you really inspire me to go all out.
I started doing your ripple blankie in early 2010, and I never finished it because of 'LIFE'.
Well, as 2011 approaches, I see myself with a very s i m p l e life - less cluttered - and more focused...so I am going to dust off my hooks and get hookin'.
p.s.
i know you don't need crochet patterns, but i have quite a few very vintage crochet patterns if anyone is interested :) I'm not that good yet, to tackle them !
Thank you.

if it weren't for the fact that you're in the middle of winter, it would be a summery summary.
gor-geous colours!

Oh my, how could you even be more productive?! Love all of your projects! Just want to tell you that when I see you have posted, I just know I'm in for a colorful adventure...your blog makes me HAPPY. You inspire me to be more colorful...and productive whether I'm crocheting or knitting. Thanks for all your effort in sharing your love of crochet with us.

That's a color explosion for sure, that Creative Cotton is so nice, I am going to order it. I have the Stylecraft, which I also love, so soft and good to knit and crochet with.
Have been making a pot holder and some flowers and a heart, all in crochet, for my mum, am loving it....such a great feeling when you actually understand most of what a crochet pattern means.

You are an inspiration - 2011 will be the year I get back into crochet! If you can do all this and look after a new-born, then anything's possible! Well done and a happy new year!

When it s all out there, in one post, it does seem pretty amazing that one human did all that colorful crafting all by herself. I would love to do the "Nestea Plunge" into all that gorgeous color. Carolina
