I've had a desire to crochet myself a wreath for a long time :: for as long as I've been crocheting flowers I've wanted to make a flowery wreath to make use of the flowery flowers. But the truth is I could never really be bothered to think about the logistics of making the actual wreath itself. Something a little over-complicated about wreath construction. Too complex. Too brain-freezy to think about. But I did really want to be able to make one and the idea would not go away. It sat there patiently in the tangled ric-rac of my creative mind, awaiting a time when I might be able to give it a go.
Over the past year or so I've been drooling over some beautiful wreathy inspiration in Flickrville :: there's even a group pool dedicated to this very thing. Yes it's true! Check it out, it's called "we love wreaths too!". And recently I've created my own little Wreathy Gallery over at Flickr, which you can look at here. Scrummy aren't they?
Yes, I do adore wreaths. Love that they are so pretty and decorative, but essentially non-essential. Frivolous. A bit of fun really aren't they? And I do like to have a bit of pretty frivolous fun around the Attic, sure I do.
So.............A tutorial for this little Springtime Wreath?
Of course I can do you a tutorial!!!
In fact, it's all done and dusted!!!
Especially for you my friends!!!
So you can hook yourselves your own bit of Pretty Frivolous Fun!!!
!!!! Hahaha, I do apologise for the excessive exclaiming, but I'm a tad overexcited about this wreathy business, do forgive me !!!!
hmm, yes I'm calming down now...you can find the tutorial in the usual Sidebar-location, or click HERE to find it.
You must promise to let me know if you give it a go, perhaps post some pretty and frivolous wreathy photos over at the Attic24 Inspired group on Flickr. Yes, please do, I'd like that very much.
Lots of love to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Edited to add :: thanks to those of you who let me know the link to the tutorial was not working, so sorry!! Its fixed now xxx

Ok, I just scrolled down far enough to find the link on the webpage itself. It's your link in the first blog post that is not working. hth and thanks for a great looking wreath!

Lucy this is gorgeous! Really pretty and probably something I just might be able to do. I'm back with my granny squares and I'm loving it this time around. Can't see the tutorial either? Is it something I'm doing wrong?

Oh Lucy, Help!! I love the idea of the wreath so much, I wanted to start right away, but the link to the tutorial gives an empty page. And I can't find the link under tutorials either....

Thank you very much for this tutorial. I added this wreath to my millions of UFOs. I love your tutorials, I already tried your ripple blanket, your snowflakes and just yesterday I tackled the hexagons.

I really like your tutorial - thanks Lucy! I think I would really enjoy making this as I like how you put it all together; it looks like it would be fun. I wish I was one of those people with a stash of yarn that could just get going on things right away. But you have to have a yarn shop nearby for that I think. Where did all the wooliness go? Nothing here at all. I do get cross about it sometimes! Thank goodness for the Internet though. Appreciate all your hard work on this, it really is so pretty and you explain it really well. Thank you.

Hi Lucy,
The tutorial is brilliant as usual. I think i might have a go.Do you think it would look good with yellow flowers, daffodil-like, for Easter? Oh and were did you get that heart shaped hook from? It is soooo lovely.
Clever you

Thank you so very much for taking the time from you so busy life now with Little B to make these tutorial for us to have a go. I really do appreciate as I know how hard it is to make pretty things like these with a little one.
