Three things that are making me heart-skippy happy today....
:: Thing #1 :: on my table ::
:: A bunch of daffodils bought from the market as tightly closed buds have opened to reveal the most beautiful pale yellow blooms. They're soo pretty! And making me long for Spring to arrive. We've got grey foggy dull damp weather here today, but walking into the room and seeing this jug of flowers has really made my heart skip-skip-skippy ::
:: Thing #2 :: in my tummy ::
:: Baked a chocolate fudge cake as a surprise for J's birthday today. Of course the cake is not yet in my tummy, but a good helping of the chocolate fudge icing is. Wellllll......with no Little People about to lick the bowl out, I was forced to undertake that job myself. Such hardship ::
:: Thing #3 :: on my sofa ::
:: Little B and I were at the cafe this morning enjoying the wonderful company of fellow knitters, hookers and stitchers. I finished making the last of the squares needed for my baby zigzaggy blanket....one hundred and five in total. Now got to find time to arrange them and stitch them together, but in the meantime I'm really getting a buzz out of admiring them in their neat little piles ::
♥ hope you find some things to make you heart-skippy happy today ♥

Ahhh....spring!! Can't wait!! It's snowing here (again) today and I'm looking forward to seeing the shoots of my daffodils, tulips and other spring bulbs coming up through the snow very shortly.
I love the colors of the granny squares you made for the blanket. They are just lovely. :) I'm looking forward to your new tutorial.

Today is rainy and miserable and cold-y, so I'm just going to enjoy your happiness vicariously, I think.
Those little squares are utterly adorable and are going to make the most beautiful blanket *loves*

I think daffodils are possibly my favourite flower - Spring can't be too long in coming once they appear.
The cake looks scrumptious!

Happy Birthday J! The cake looks delicious and the flowers and squares are beautiful.

The squares do look fantastic in their piles. I love colours in order ... like coloured pencils in a tin, or yarn arranged in rainbow order.
I made your fudge cake on Monday, it didn't last long with my mum and sister around!
Happy Birthday to J :)
Lots of love xxxxxx

First, big birthday wishes to J. Yummie Chocolate Cake, what's better. So, did Little B get to help you lick the bowl.
I just can't wait to see this new blankie come together. You are getting so creative, those brain cells are really starting to kick back in again. I bet it's getting out and getting some fresh air and hookie time with you pals. Of course, I'm loving the idea of Little B squares and then a ripple. Fun-Fun-Fun. You've gone and mused me again....
Maybe, that just what I need to do with my Sea Glass stash on the way to Florida. Perfect some baby squares while on a 20 hours car ride.
So, don't even get me started on those daffs. In my top 5 favs that's for certain.
So, I seriously need to go pack something besides my yarn.
Hookn' Hugs,
