About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

you make me wish i could crochet!

Ahhh....spring!! Can't wait!! It's snowing here (again) today and I'm looking forward to seeing the shoots of my daffodils, tulips and other spring bulbs coming up through the snow very shortly.

I love the colors of the granny squares you made for the blanket. They are just lovely. :) I'm looking forward to your new tutorial.

Today is rainy and miserable and cold-y, so I'm just going to enjoy your happiness vicariously, I think.

Those little squares are utterly adorable and are going to make the most beautiful blanket *loves*

I think daffodils are possibly my favourite flower - Spring can't be too long in coming once they appear.
The cake looks scrumptious!
Fab crochet, as ever

Happy Birthday to J!
Great crochet...
and the flowers,...ah! the flowers! love them!

What a lovely post to come home to after a busy day! I love your new blanket! I haven't been on much and haven't seen a lot of the posts so have been catching up! Beautiful! Can't wait to see the pattern for it :-) I must admit I have had no time to crochet yet this year! Daffodils! Hoping for Spring to turn up!

DAFFS!!! My favorite flower. How can you get them??? It's still to early over here across the pond. Ah well, I'll just gaze at your pictures instead!

MY OH MY those piles are impressive!!!! Such magificant colors and shades! I hope to find some of those heart-skipping happy things today! Love to all, Robbie

The Loft

Oh wow, they had doffodils out already at your market? They are so springy. Always make me think of sunshine.

This post would make anyone heart- skippy happy. Great colours!! :)
Happy Birthday to hubby!

Love that little blanket, and it might encourage me to have a go. We have had some sun today (jsut a smidging) so roll on Spring. Happy Birthday to the luck man

Happy Birthday J! The cake looks delicious and the flowers and squares are beautiful.

The squares do look fantastic in their piles. I love colours in order ... like coloured pencils in a tin, or yarn arranged in rainbow order.

I made your fudge cake on Monday, it didn't last long with my mum and sister around!

Happy Birthday to J :)

Lots of love xxxxxx

all the best people have a birthday today - it is mine too-but I am a lot older than your hubby

The Garden Bell - Kate

First, big birthday wishes to J. Yummie Chocolate Cake, what's better. So, did Little B get to help you lick the bowl.

I just can't wait to see this new blankie come together. You are getting so creative, those brain cells are really starting to kick back in again. I bet it's getting out and getting some fresh air and hookie time with you pals. Of course, I'm loving the idea of Little B squares and then a ripple. Fun-Fun-Fun. You've gone and mused me again....

Maybe, that just what I need to do with my Sea Glass stash on the way to Florida. Perfect some baby squares while on a 20 hours car ride.

So, don't even get me started on those daffs. In my top 5 favs that's for certain.

So, I seriously need to go pack something besides my yarn.

Hookn' Hugs,

Kate-The Garden Bell - <3 <3 <3

Remember <3 = hearts.

Just looking at your pictures made me heart-skippy-happy!

That blanket is going to be amazing, only you could combine a ripple with a granny x

I'm enjoying some daffodils at the moment too - aren't they lovely, happy spring flowers?

Hope J has a good birthday! I'm sure it will be a great one with that gorgeous cake! x

You make me want to crochet Lucy but I'm too busy knitting puppets! Cake looks yummy and so inviting, sitting unmunched on the table (says she munching a white chocolate and raspberry cookie!) Happy Birthday J!
