About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Hei Lucy!
That was hi in finnish. I can't write the long letter now, because I'm at work. I just have to say that your pictures and all this blog are so delightfull thing that I have to look many times during the day if you have writed something more or put new pictures. I have been crochetting (was the word right?) my first ripple blanket. It is so joyfull to do it. I will send you a picture later. I promise.
Best wishes from Finland, Pia

I meant, of course, a basic granny square tutorial...ehm...

barbara

I am in love with your creations... after reading your blog I started a granny square blanket; I learned when I was a child but I have not been crocheting since then...so I would love a basic multicolor granny square from you I would like to learn how yo hide and change yarn neatly for example.... Thank you

pinry

it's just perfect! and thanks so much for sharing the how-to, you are so generous.

Christy

You make such yummy-lovely things, Lucy. It cheers me up to visit your blog and see all the pretty things you make and do. Thank you!

Kelly

Do you put a layer of fabric under the crocheted design as well? I noticed it's light blue through all the holes. I'd be tempted to make a lovely bright cushion like this if I had a nice couch to put it on.

Puppy

wonderful!!! lovely colors, so fun and colorful...love it!

Tracy

What a happy, cuddly cushion. I do like the all the back detailing - including the way you've alternated the direction of the knit. Gorgeous crochet too, of course!

Debbie

Dear Lucy:
Another wonderful project created by you! It is perfect.Would you tell me what you line the front of the cushion with. I can see blue through the little squares. Is that the color of the cushion itself?

hilde

Very nice!!

Elizabeth

I loved the pillow front, loved the sweater when you first brought it home, but now with that inspired back closure...ahhhhhh. Brilliant finishing job!

Lucy

Wow! You should be proud of it, it looks lovely :) Now I shall be keeping my eyes open for some suitable jumpers in the local charity shop so I can start my own! xx

Lucy -- A friend told me about your blog and I love it. I can not tell you as a person in the " autumn " days of my life appreciates someone in the Summer days!"" of her life is energised by what I have loved for so long. I would love you to have a peep at my life and its too-ings and fro-ings @

gill

hi lucy
love the colours - as a new crocheter(is that a word?) can you tell us what yarn you use? i'm not a knitter so have limited experience with all the different yarns - at the moment it's trial and error which can be quite costly!! love gill
