I would dearly love to stop and chat a while, have a natter about this and that.
Except I can't.
Can't spend time chatting when I am In Love.
Passionately, devotedly, distractedly in L:O:V:E.
Yes, today my heart has been claimed by Big Blankie, and I can think of nothing else except us being together.
Of course, Big Blankie feels the same about me, will NOT let me out of sight.
Insists that I spend every moment devotedly worshiping our relationship.
Working on making it grow bigger and stronger.
Big Blankie is not my First Love and won't be my last.
But Big Blankie doens't seem to mind that there have been Others.
In fact Big Blankie quite seems to like the Others still being around.
I shall try to be here tomorrow, but if by chance I am not in the Attic, you know what I'll be up to.
I know you'll understand.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I echo your love for Big Blankie - it's beautiful and so right without the white. Spend as much time with it as you want and we'll all be here when you return. X

If you have to have an obsessive love, Big Blankie is the one to be in love with. It's really beautiful.

I think Big Blankie would like to run away, with me. Oh yes, BB told me!
Loving it (although I thought it looked good with the white too but what do I know?!)
Can't wait to see it finished. Dx

so glad i found your blog - i got quite addicted to crochet several years ago and found myself unable to put it down! I particularly got hooked on granny squares and had to learn every variation!!...i also do paper and fabric mixed media stuff and a little jewelry, but I always love to come back to my crochet hook and some yarn or thread - it is just SOOOO therapeutic! Love your big blankie! And I agree about the white...for what it's worth!

Yes, Lucy, go with that fabulous flow of color and balance. Just enough excitement and just enough calming harmony.
I think you've got it!
Best wishes.

I have to say, today's post and yesterday's post about your new wool stash and reinvigorated effort on Big Blanket have made me sigh with happiness, vicariously. I am RIGHT THERE with you, staring happily at all that yarn and possibility. I too love nothing more than crocheting away on something I'm excited about. My favorite pastime is to sneak away to my room and watch British TV (One Foot in the Grave, Waiting for God, whatever) while working on an afghan, perhaps with a glass of wine at my side. (sigh) Thank you for sharing your daily yarn devotionals! They get me through my workday and inspire me to hasten home and pick up the hook again.

Absolutely, delightful. Love the reddish/pinkish/raspberrish colors in contrast to the blueish/greenish/tealish colors. Keep going, and going, just like the enegizer bunny. Can't wait to see what fun edging you add to finish this up. What a wonderful way to end your week. Have a cheerished weekend. Ok, so I'm a little "ish"-ist today, but you once again brightened my day.
"Cheers"ish good day to you

Yes, yes, yes, looking so beautiful! So nice too, to hear you sounding cheerful and peppy, while being with your newfound love...

Big Blankie is quite a "hunk!" hehe

It's looking lovely Lucy I can see why you can't stop! I've run out of a colour I am using for my blanket and it is proving very frustrating as the shop STILL haven't got it in. I've looked up ordering it myself but have to buy a minimum of 10 balls which I don't need, plus they are more expensive than the shop sells them for.

Big Blankie is nice, but my heart belongs to Ripple. He lies quietly behind Big Blankie offering support. If he was a man, I'd ask you to set us up!
